The Red Sky Cafe
Don’t want to go out? No Problem, just call Cuisinere Wes at The Red Sky Cafe, 252-261-8646. Excellent gourmet meals in their restaurant as well. But it is much easier to stay home, relax and be served in style.
Corolla Wild Horses Site
This season they will offer horse painting activities for kids on Tuesdays AND Thursdays from 11 – 2 and we will have a gentled Spanish Mustang at the Schoolhouse on Wednesdays from 11 – 2. All activities are weather permitting. The Wild Horse Museum and Mustang Store are open at the Schoolhouse from 10 – 4 Mon thru Saturday and our second museum store located in the Corolla Light Town Center is open from 10 – 6 daily from Memorial Day thru Labor Day. That location will offer children’s rainy day story hour. The phone # for the Schoolhouse is 453-8002 and the Corolla Town Center is 453-9000.
Outer Banks Wildlife Center
Click on the link and go to the bottom of the page. Click on the Outer Banks Center. Then follow the menu to see the activities and educational program calendar which offers FREE activities. You can Pre-Register by calling 252 453 0221. Sign you or your group up for Kayaking the sound, Photography, Fishing the sound, Maritime Forest Walk and many others. Call well in advance of your trip.
Duck Pier Research Station Located North of Duck the Research Pier is operated by the Army Corps of Engineers. Walking and guided tours Monday-Friday at 10 am only. mid June to August. Grounds restricted at other time. Call for information 252 261 6840 ext 401.
